Choubey & Company ("we", "us") runs this website so clients can request accountancy and compliance services, upload documents and track their work. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and a password (we store only a scrambled form of it, never the password itself).
- If you sign in with Google: your name and email address from your Google account.
- Documents you upload for a service request, and the notes you write on the request.
- Appointment bookings and enquiries you send us.
- Payment records: the amount, date, status and the reference given by our payment provider. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
How we use it
- To create your account, keep you signed in and verify your email.
- To do the work you asked for and keep you updated on it.
- To take payments and issue refunds.
- To send emails about your account, requests, payments and appointments.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use a few services to run the website. They only receive what they need to do their job:
- Cashfree Payments and Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.
- Amazon Web Services (S3), to store the documents you upload.
- MongoDB Atlas, to store account and request records.
- Resend, to send emails.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Vercel, to host the website.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Who can see your documents
Only you and our team can open the documents you upload. They are not public, and links to them expire after a short time.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and request records while your account is active and for as long as we need them for our work, our accounts and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see below); some records, such as payment history, may have to be kept for tax and accounting purposes.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can update your name and phone number in your account settings. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, write to contact@choubeyandcompany.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this page
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
